And don't forget that surrounding these great Miami beaches is a world of exciting night life, entertainment, shopping and dinning.

South Beach has one of the best beaches around, with a beach walk that stretches for miles. Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive are lined up with beachfront hotels and condominiums, private and public beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. The most popular beach in South Beach is Lummus Park and Public Beach, located between 5th and 14th Streets along Ocean Drive. Lummus Park is a white, sandy beach, with walkways, palm trees, grass areas, crowded with hot Miami bodies sunbathing, playing beach sports, and enjoying swimming, jet skiing and much more in the Atlantic Ocean. You'll also feel pretty safe with plenty of life guard stands watching over the hot action in South Beach. The southern end of Ocean Drive of South Beach includes Ocean Beach Park and Pier Park. At the southernmost tip of South Beach is South Pointe Park, offering walking trails, pavilions, picnicking and BBQ on grassy areas and palm trees. South Pointe Park offers great open views of the Atlantic Ocean full of boats and cruise ships, Miami skyline, Port of Miami, and the nearby exclusive Fisher Island, resort Island for the rich and famous, as well as Key Biscayne isles.

Along Collins Avenue of South Beach and Miami Beach are many hotels with backyard swimming pools, their own beaches, and through beach walks along palm tree-lined grassy areas. Collins Avenue runs north to nearby communities of Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Surfside, Sunny Isles Beach, Golden Beach, and is lined up with more great hotels and beaches. Some of these beaches include Ocean Terrace Public Beach, Allison Park, Beach View Park, Indian Beach Park.

North of South Beach district are some more great Miami beaches. There are public beaches at 53rd-63rd Street, between 88th-98th Streets, at Surfside and Bal Harbour Beach. After this you come to Haulover Park Beach, one of the best in the area, as part of this beach is a nudist beach and part is gay.

In North Miami Beach there are almost two miles of beaches starting at 163rd Street. After crossing into Broward County, you have a public beach at Hallandale (with limited facilities). You then come to one of the best in the area, Hollywood Beach: 2.2 miles long with a board walk for walking, rollerblading and cycling in a separate lane. Almost all along Hollywood Beach there are shops, restaurants and cafes. There is also the Johnson Street Open Air Theatre which has free musical performances every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and occasionally on Fridays.

In addition to the hot beaches and sizzling night life, you'll like Miami Beach for offering great recreational opportunities. On this magnificent city island, you can play golf in Miami Beach Golf Club and Normandy Shores Golf Club, both open to the public. Additionally, the La Gorce Country Club is an exclusive private club open for members only. There is plenty of excellent recreational opportunities in South Beach at the Flamingo Park, a public park that includes swimming pool with lap lanes, a water playground for the kids, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a baseball and soccer field. Flamingo Park is located between 11th and 15th street and Meridian Avenue.
